Applications

Dit zijn de programma's die ik op dit moment gebruik om de WiiMote op de pc te laten werken:

BlueSoleil, voor de Bluetooth verbinding met de WiiMote:

Op dit moment kan ik met mijn WiiMote al Windows besturen, door de sensorbar van de Wii boven de monitor te plaatsen en met mijn WiiMote op het scherm te richten. Ik heb al een script geschreven die tabs in Firefox switcht met de + knop op de WiiMote en de Pagedown knop aan een beweging van de WiiMote gehangen. Ik kan ook al de muis besturen door de WiiMote onder de monitor te leggen en als infrarood camera te gebruiken, waarna ik met de sensorbar (of een aansteker/kaars) de muis kan besturen. Dit was nog redelijk lastig omdat de bewegingen omgedraaid moeten worden omdat je de WiiMote nu als referentiepunt gebruikt.

De volgende stap is een handschoen maken met infrarood LED lampjes en interacties daar aan te hangen.

Right now, I can already use my WiiMote to control Windows, by placing the sensorbar on top of my monitor and pointing the WiiMote at the screen. I've already written a script that allows me to switch tabs with the + button on the WiiMote and using Pagedown by flicking the WiiMote down. I can also control the mouse by putting the WiiMote underneath my monitor and using it as an infrared camera, after which I can use the sensorbar (or a lighter/candle) to control the mouse. This was kind of tricky since you have to invert the movements because you use the WiiMote as the reference point.

The next step is to make a glove with infrared LED lights and linking interactions to that.
